Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • 200g of sliced turkey breast
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 4 leaves of romaine lettuce
  • 2 slices of tomato
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • knife
  • cutting board
  • spreading knife

Instructions:

  • Start by toasting the whole grain bread slices lightly if you prefer them warm.
  • While the bread is toasting, cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash the avocado with a fork until creamy, then season it with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of mustard on each slice of toasted bread.
  • On two of the slices, layer the sliced turkey breast evenly, followed by a generous scoop of mashed avocado.
  • Add the romaine lettuce leaves and slices of tomato on top of the avocado.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread to complete the sandwich, pressing down gently to secure everything in place.
  • Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
