Instructions:
- Start by washing the tomatoes and basil leaves under cold water.
- Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds and arrange them on a serving platter.
- Cut the fresh mozzarella cheese into thick slices and layer them on top of the tomatoes.
- Tuck in the fresh basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella slices for an appealing presentation.
- Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the top.
- Sprinkle with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
